Blocking
traffic noise from the I-279 Veteran’s
Bridge which is just above the building
required a seven-layer application of
Modified Bitumen from Siplast, Polyethylene,
three layers of extruded Polystyrene
insulation, a Polyester protective layer,
and a top application of loose aggregate.
A 2-inch concrete pad was installed
under the bridge to protect the roof
from thrown or dropped objects. Owned
and managed by the Buncher Company.
