Built in
1913 by Heinz USA, this facility houses
extensive programs for neighborhood
children and still stands as a visible
symbol of the company’s community
commitment. It’s location in a
crowded neighborhood near the Heinz
USA Northside complex required Triangle
Roofing to use a crane to lift the tar
kettle into a nearby field. The job
used a coal tar built-up roof from Koppers
Industries with a vapor barrier and
one-inch layer of Perlite insulation.
Triangle was also asked to test a new
Koppers product, coal-applied Polyester,
on steep peaked roofs over stairwells.
RISCO (Roof Inspection, Service &
Consulting) selected Triangle for their
experience and ability to manage challenging
physical barriers.
